Welcome to the Sondela Academy short course called Field Ranger Level with 24 credits.
This course are for those individuals that have the skills for the topics being discussed but not the recognition for those skills. It is a good course for those individuals that have been working in the industry for years but have no qualifications supporting all of their experience.
People credited with this course will complete the following basic skills of field ranger:
· Harvesting of Fauna
· Combating of Soil Erosion
· Combating Problem Plants
· Fencing
· Fire
FOR WHOM IS THE COURSE?
This qualification could provide learners with access to employment opportunities within the Conservation environment. It reflects the need for learners to obtain the essential skills needed to facilitate a pathway for further learning and to receive recognition for existing skills and knowledge. This qualification aims to promote professionalism, work ethics and good governance. The level of flexibility within the range of electives will also allow the individual to pursue further career specialization within the Conservation environment.
